Sesuai KKNI (Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia), sasaran kedepan penataan mutu pendidikan tinggi berdasarkan penjenjangan kualifikasi lulusan. Penyesuaian capaian pembelajaran (learning outcomes) untuk prodi sejenis, serta penyetaraan capaian pembelajaran dengan penjenjangan kualifikasi dunia kerja.
Hal itu diungkapkan Ir. Endrotomo (Tim Kurikulum Perguruan Tinggi Ditbelmawa Dikti) dalam Workshop KBK Tentang Penyusunan Capaian Pembelajaran Prodi Ilmu Hukum yang berlangsung di Conference Hall Universitas Narotama, Rabu (24/7). Workshop ini diikuti oleh pejabat struktural dan dosen di lingkungan Universitas Narotama
Menurut Endrotomo, dengan standar KKNI seorang penari di Bali misalnya, dia yang sudah bertahun-tahun sebagai penari, mengajarkan tari kepada orang lain, selanjutnya dia juga mampu menciptakan tarian kreasi baru. Maka penari tersebut masuk kualifikasi level 9 (sembilan). Sebaliknya, seorang professor yang tidak mempunyai karya tulis hasil riset dan tidak menemukan inovasi atau teori baru terkait bidang keilmuannya, dia mungkin hanya berada pada kualifikasi level 8 (delapan).

Iswachyu Dhaniarti DS, ST dalam sambutannya mengatakan, esensi terkait Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (KBK) dapat menjadi basis yang baik untuk building the mastermind atas penyempurnaan kualitas lulusan Universitas Narotama.
